Gael Monfils v Vasek Pospisil
Gael Monfils has outplayed Joao Sousa thanks to the Portuguese’ errors. The Portuguese was too reckless. Gael is very calm and confident now. The French both defends well and attacks aggressively. His current form allows him to play on all surfaces and using various techniques. Pospisil hasn’t shown anything remarkable. The Canadian serves well, but that’s all. Now we expect to see comfortable win by Gael. But it’s also possible that it will come on tie-break. Monfils won’t have to show his best so the spread can be not that huge.
Betting pick: Better not to bet on the match.
Milos Raonic v Yen-Hsun Lu
Another failure from Zverev has allowed Lu to get to the second round of the Rogers Cup. But this fact doesn’t speak to the Taiwanese favor. Lu isn’t strong enough and the victorious outcome is rather an exception now. The serve isn’t good enough, rallies are full of failures. Up to him now is Milos Raonic who will hardly pay any attention to such opponents. Performing on his native courts, Milos should be motivated to make a deep run. Physically Milos is stronger and hasn’t made a significant progress this year.
Betting pick: The handicap market is huge but the outcome will depend on the Canadian’s mood. We tend to believe that Milos will convert two break points at least.
Grigor Dimitrov v Denis Shapovalov
Grigor Dimitrov has surprisingly managed to scrape past Yuichi Sugita in the first round. The Bulgarian has committed countless number of errors that should have led him to the loss of the match but the Japanese turned out to be even less reliable. Shapovalov has picked up his first ATP victory on Monday when he took advantage over out-of-sourts Nick Kyrgios. As for the upcoming match, the lack of decent serve will likely prevent Shapovalov from winning his second match.
Betting pick: Dimitrov wins.

Probably. But Johnson's service is good, so Roger will rarely make more than one break in a set.
