Stan Wawrinka has captured his career second Grand Slam crown (6:4, 4:6, 3:6, 4:6). By doing this, he gained two goals: prevented Novak Djokovic from winning his elusive title and became a champion himself. And it’s not quite clear which one is more important.
Wawrinka showed very impressive performance. We don’t’ get it how he managed to maintain such a high level of tennis throughout the entire match (it seems like the Swiss physician did a great job). But we don’t believe that Stan would stay on the same level for the long period of time. It’s more likely that he’d be committed to take the US Open only. But nevertheless, Wawrinka has showed great tennis and we congratulate him on this victory!

Such evaluation of Gasquet from the bookmakers is understandable. The Frenchman lost his two previous encounters in a row to Monaco and Nadal, which is a sign of a bad form from Richard.
