The last week was rich in ATP tennis events, albeit minor ones. First of all we want to congratulate the eventual trophy-holders Marin Cilic, Andy Murray, Tomas Berydch and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. All of them managed to obtain well-deserved victories this week.
We’ll start with ATP Moscow.
Many top players has qualified for the Kremlin Open. Among them Marin Cilic, Milos Raonic, Ernests Gulbis, Roberto Bautista Agut, Tommy Robredo, etc. The organization of the event was on the very high level. Well, it’s Moscow. So no big deal! There were some complaints about the light, but in my opinion, all these entertainment shows and other fashion tricks like sound pulsing on the hawk-eye looked very spectacular and eye-catching. The men’s tournament left very good impression. There were so many cool matches to watch! The most prominent were strong Cilic, grasping Bautista and crazy Kukushkin who will secure himself a spot in the top 30 with such wonderful tennis! Another Misha – Youzhny also showed very solid tennis. But he spent too many efforts in Shanghai and the draw wasn’t quite favorable to him in Moscow. He faced off strong Monaco on the early stage and then couldn’t stand it against Kukushkin all the match long. Tommy Robredo performed well too. The Spaniard definitely keeps up with his reputation. Ernests Gulbis alternated good matches with disastrous ones. As usuallyJ Though the Lett is rather consistent now. From Milos Raonic we expected much more, to be honest…Probably, the Canadian star still hasn’t shaken the flu he caught in Asia. Well, we believe it is flu With this Asian cuisine you can never be 100% sure…
As for the women’s part, we’d like to congratulate Pavlyuchenkova. Of course, she got lucky draw, but still. Siniakova failed the semifinal and in the final match Pavlyuchenkova had no troubles to upset a worn out Begu from Romania. We’d say that Anastasia’ tennis was much to be desired, but the title is the title.
In Stockholm we were pleasantly surprised by Dolgopolov. The Ukranian player whose “facepalm” tennis was full of drawbacks during the last weeks, seems to be gaining his form now. We hope he would show something worthwhile at the ATP Masters 1000 in Paris. Let’s wait and see. But the real revelation of the tournament is, of course, Mattias Bachinger from Germany! He was on top! Will he maintain such form for long? That is a question. Dimitrov and Tomic also performed well. But it seems like for Dimitrov it was tough and challenging. Maybe it is due to his tennis marathon he ran along to get some ranking points for the finale. But with such tennis he has nothing to do in London. Tomas Berdych was on his usual level. He even managed to scrape through the final match against the Bulgarian and came off victorious to clinch the Stockholm crown, which is very un-Berdych!
In Vienna an eventual champion Andy Murray showed his teeth by pulling out a victory from David Ferrer who was serving for the match. And taking into account that the deciding set was really tiring for the Scot, Ferrer has to blame himself for not finishing the match off. Bad decisions in crucial moments cost him too much. And if against Kohlschreiber it ended up well, the Briton jumped at his chance! Frankly speaking, Vienna turned up to be the poorest event in terms of tennis quality. No remarkable matches at all. And no a single player to highlight. Maybe just Ivo Karlovic whose service play wasn’t bad and Victor Troicki who does his best to make a comeback and right his ship. The Serb’s serve works and generally he looks very solid on court.
This week we’ll view the competition between the world’s 8 best female plyers in Singapore. While Raonic, ferrer, Murray, Berdych and Nishikori will fight for the last three spots at London finals. Cilic has already claimed the fifth spot at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. Great job, Marin!
And in conclusion give a watch to the funny trick by Gregor Dimitrov!

Everything in this match counts in favor of the Spaniard. Nadal, as a real locomotive, took long to get into stride. But having accelerated he becomes unstoppable. Rafa performed well in Madrid
Such evaluation of Gasquet from the bookmakers is understandable. The Frenchman lost his two previous encounters in a row to Monaco and Nadal, which is a sign of a bad form from Richard.

From the moment he appeared on courts, Kei Nishikori has always been one of 5 or 6 super talented promising players.
