Tennis tips and betting predictions. Rafael Nadal v Andy Murray semifinal match preview
Rafael Nadal is confidently making his way to the Monte-Carlo final to win the crown for the ninth time in his career. The Spaniard has shown stellar play against Dominic Thiem while committing too many errors facing Aljaz. The quarterfinal encounter with Stan can’t be taken seriously as the Swiss failed to set up his game and paid for it. Rafa is in visibly good form. However it’s still not the Rafa we saw three years ago: there’re some footwork issues pushing the Mallorcan to make a long arm for some of the balls and if his opponent starts playing aggressively, the Spanaird can be broken. But what has drastically changed into Rafa’s favor is the level of self-confidence. He keeps struggling to the very end and succeeds in key moments. And that’s awesome!
Andy Murray has hammered Milos Raonic 6-2,6-0. The Canadian also tried hard and managed to attack, so we can’t say that it was an easy job for the Scot. Murray moves well, goes into attack and commits very few mistakes but Nadal will be a challenging opponent on his favorite surface. Only once Andy Murray beat the Spaniard on clay in the Madrid final last year. But then it was Super Murray and very poor Nadal. Now good Murray will face good Nadal.
Going into the past, the only victory of Murray on clay happened in Madrid where it’s easier to attack than in Monte-Carlo. But we guess the match this time will go according to much different scenario. The Spaniard will be in control of the play and no recipe will be good enough to outplay him.
Betting pick: Rafa will make the final appearance in Monte-Carlo but the match against Murray won’t be an easy one.

Such evaluation of Gasquet from the bookmakers is understandable. The Frenchman lost his two previous encounters in a row to Monaco and Nadal, which is a sign of a bad form from Richard.
