Alexander Zverev v Nick Kyrgios at the Miami Open 2017
Alexander Zverev has upset the top seeded Stan Wawrinka after being one set down. Starting from the second serve, Stan seemed to stop playing. What are the reasons? We don’t know. Probably, the Swiss was facing the consequences of his birthday party. Zverev didn’t show anything special: committed the typical number of mistakes on forehand and was reliable on his backhand wing.
For the berth in the Miami Open semifinals, Zverev will go up against Nick Kyrgios. The Aussie has hit 12 aces to beat the Belgian and improve their h2h series to 2-0. In the second set Kyrgious was almost untouchable on his serve. He served at 210 kmph and won 70% of the service points. What is more, Nick was very concentrated. He made wise decisions in hard situations, which is a very valuable quality of any athlete. Goffin did the most he could but didn’t find enough answers to Nick’s questions.
Will Nick have enough gas to beat Zverev? We believe he will. He got plus one day of rest and will be doing his best to secure a spot in the semis. As for Zverev, he won’t show more than he already did. The German isn’t such a good returner as Goffin and he’ll have to concentrate on holding his serve.
Recommended bet: Back Kyrgios in the outright betting in 2 sets at the odds of 2.3. Also, It may be valuable to back Kyrgios -2.5 games.
