Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships Overview
Dubai, as well as the Mexican Open scheduled simultaneously, is a prestigious 500 level ATP tournament. But there are many differences between the both. First of all, the Dubai event is welcomed by spectacular locations around the luxurious city of Dubai and the prize money is more attractive. It’s 1 000 000 $ higher than in Acapulco. As a result, the event always showcases the top players on tour.
The weather in Dubai is very comfortable, rather warm but not hot. It is forecasted that Dubai will get a bit rain during the event. The wind will be rather strong at about 20 kmph that will impact the performance. The courts in Dubai favor all-courts players who can succeed in long rallies and run a lot. The players’ competition level will matter a lot. Considering the ranking level of the participants, we expect to see high quality tennis with total commitment.
The Swiss players have won for four consecutive years since 2012. Roger Federer holds the record for most of the titles (seven). Last year Stan Wawrinka won the title and will have to defend it this year. Andy Murray who lacks the Dubai title in his championship collection may become a real trouble to the Swiss.
This year there are three main contenders for the title: Roger Federer, Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray. But all the three pose some questions. Roger has been battling a leg injury and lacks playing practice this season. However, Roger has been training a lot in Dubai and three-set matches are to Roger’s benefit.
We’ve closely following the training sessions of the players and know their pre-event abilities. Read our daily previews or sign up for our picks and win on tennis betting!

From the moment he appeared on courts, Kei Nishikori has always been one of 5 or 6 super talented promising players. Probably. But Johnson's service is good, so Roger will rarely make more than one break in a set.
