Tennis tips and betting predictions. Jan-Lennard Struff v Gilles Simon at Davis Cup 2015
Jan-Lennard Struff has lately halted his progress a bit. Of course, the German, aged 24, is rather young by today’s standards. But Dimitrov, Coric, Vesely, Raonic are of the same age or even younger. And despite this, all the listed talents show better tennis and, what is more important, possess tougher character and more fighting features. Jan-Lennard Struff has a good serve in his arsenal, hits powerful shots from the baseline and at times show excellent matches! But only at times. He is used to have better results on the German clay, but generally there is nothing to boast about.
Gilles Simon has a very good start of this season. The French’s serve has been as fast as 124 mph. Gilles looks fit (by his standards), shots, footwork, placement on court are excellent. The defeats he got this year are very easy to explain. David Ferrer has shown more endurance. The Spaniard is one of a few players in tour who boasts greater stamina than Simon. As for Janowicz and Berdych, the both possess enough power to break Gilles Simon. Struff has no capabilities to do this. He’ll lack power, accuracy and patience to upset the French male. What is more, Jan-Lennard is mentally weak. So there is a great likelihood, that shall he fail to start the match successfully, he’ll fall to pieces.
The match is to take place on indoor hard court where Simon spent the whole February. The best of five set format is also more preferable for the French. And this fact will hardly bring more confidence to the German. Simon will have more time to adjust to the surface, while Struff may have difficulties in closing up such a long duel.
Historically, the Davis Cup favors France. This year the French team is very strong again and considering the fact that a number of top players ignore the competition (Federer, Berdych, Nadal) has good chances to lift the title. The only alarming issue is that it would Simon’s first match after a break. And it isn’t quite clear what he is up to.
Nevertheless, Dotennis team considers Gilles Simon to be the confident favorite to the match success.

Everything in this match counts in favor of the Spaniard. Nadal, as a real locomotive, took long to get into stride. But having accelerated he becomes unstoppable. Rafa performed well in Madrid
Such evaluation of Gasquet from the bookmakers is understandable. The Frenchman lost his two previous encounters in a row to Monaco and Nadal, which is a sign of a bad form from Richard.

Probably. But Johnson's service is good, so Roger will rarely make more than one break in a set.
