Tennis tips and betting predictions. Milos Raonic versus Donald Young. Australian Open picks
Since the last year Milos Raonic has introduced no changes to his tennis style: it’s still limited to the booming serve and running forehand. He knows how to play at the net, but makes almost no use of this component. In his opening round of the Australian Open 2015 the Canadian No. 1 has defeated Illya Marchenko in straight sets. The qualifier from Ukraine served pretty well, but made mistakes in the deciding moments.
Donald Young was set up to face Tim Puetz from Germany who has nothing to show on his serve. Donald Young also looked more consistent on the baseline. Generally speaking, Young is not a very typical American player. Firstly, he is left-handed. Secondly, he possesses very decent baseline play.
Young started this season in Auckland where he obtained two confident wins to lose it to Vesely. But Jiri Vesely is a leftie himself and, unlike Raonic, is a well-known baseliner. Young also knows how to perform winning passing shots which can be very useful when facing Milos Raonic.
There is one more issue to mention. Due to his poor backhand technique, Raonic finds it hard to play lefties who use their left-handed forehand to put pressure on the Canadian’s backhand. And Young’s average serve speed will be uncomfortable for Raonic as it will get to his backhand side as well.
To put it all together, Milos Raonic is the unquestionable favorite for this match. But Dotennis team don’t expect it to be a very easy and comfortable encounter for the Canadian. He would hardly convert numerous break points himself, while Young is also capable of breaking a number of the Canadian’s serves.
And despite the Canadian’s head-to-head 2:0 lead, it’s worth saying that either of their two meetings has been very tough for Raonic.

Probably. But Johnson's service is good, so Roger will rarely make more than one break in a set.
