Tennis tips and betting predictions. Andrey Golubev vs Grigor Dimitrov at TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open
Throughout this year Grigor Dimitrov shows no encouraging signs to his fans. Our team predicted that he would come to his best form to play clay portion of the season, but the Monte-Carlo event displayed that the Bulgarian is very undercooked now. Dimitrov looked confused against Verdasco. The star power was on his side when he played Fognini and Wawrinka. But the match against Monfils set everything right. All in all, Dimitrov has no ideal matches this year. And we don’t believe that the tournament in Istanbul will make a difference. It’s more likely that the Bulgarian will try to gain speed to make a vivid performance at the Wimbledon.
No doubt, Andrey Golubev is far from being the World’s best clay player. Nevertheless, the Russian youngster showed very strong performance against Basilashvili. Andrey also looked very solid in Bucharest facing strong Bolelli. To put it short, we don’t expect that Golubev will exceed himself, but he shall offer struggle to Dimitrov, and that mainly at the cost of the Bulgarian’s errors.
With this all in mind, Dotennis team believes that Golubev shall be capable of taking about 7-8 sets from the Bulgarian.
