Tennis tips and betting predictions at Roger Federer v Novak Djokovic at the Indian Wells Masters 2015
Roger Federer confidently beat Milos Raonic and reached the final at Indian Wells for the sixth time in his career. He is the only player who has ever achieved that. The mighty Swiss hasn’t lost a single set at Indian Wells and only once lost a game on his serve. Such stability is overwhelming. But we must admit that he had an easy draw and didn’t have a serious resistance on his way to the final. Roger couldn’t be luckier, when Raonic stunned Nadal in the quarter final. If Nadal had reached the semis, it would have been a huge problem for Federer.
Novak Djokovic also had a good draw. John Isner was the only one who could possibly upset Novak, but Djokovic beat him pretty easily. Novak received an unexpected bonus, when Tomic did not come out to play, but few doubted that Djokovic would become a winner of that match. As for the upcoming match, we should say that Federer have been the most inconvenient opponent for Novak throughout the last two seasons on hard courts. Djokovic himself likes to attack and to lead the game, but with Federer it doesn’t work. Roger often seizes the initiative and leads the game, while Novak is forced to spend most of the time in defense. We expect to see the same tennis in the upcoming final. Federer will attack more and Djokovic will find himself defending. However, the he BNP Paribas Open is a more prestigious tournament, where more points are at stake, which means Djokovic will try his best in the upcoming final, unlike their previous duel in Dubai. Moreover, slow courts suit Novak well, it will be easier for him to fight back and attack on slow courts of Indian Wells, than it was on fast courts in Dubai.
The Dotennis team believes that Djokovic has more chances to become a champion. Nevertheless, we do recommend not to bet on this match and simply enjoy the show.
