Tennis tips and betting predictions. Kevin Anderson v Jiri Vesely. ATP Auckland 2015
Kevin Anderson has already obtained two confident wins over Struff and Johnson in Auckland. What can we say judging by these matches? Despite some tiny errors, Anderson is in a good form now with his serve working out properly. But there were some suspicious mishaps. Thus, he has totally lost two games to the German and to the American.
As about positive moments, we want to mention his return which seems to be very reliable. Both Struff and Johnson have served very well but in both matches Anderson has managed to struggle tough on their serve. Now he is set up to face Jiri Vesely, who also shows very decent tennis. The Czech has displayed excellent serve with the first one recorded at about 220 km/h (137 mph). And this is much faster than that of the previous opponents of the South African player.
Pay attention that Jiri Vesely is a left-handed player. Our Dotennis team has already mentioned it that oftentimes lefties are in a better position that their right-handed opponents who are mostly used to the backhand shots exchange. Of course, Anderson has a very good backhand in his arsenal. But it’s one thing to play Johnson who has no backhand weapons and it’s totally another when your opponent plays forehand instead of backhand. And one more observation. Anderson is very aggressive at return. This is what helped him to upset Struff and Johnson. But the serve of the Czech is much faster and consequently it would be harder to return it for Anderson and will enable Vesely to win easy points on his serve.
To put it all together, our Dotennis team thinks that Jiri Vesely will be a great challenge for Kevin Anderson. The young gun from Czech Republic must offer great struggle and resistance to his South African contender. The only thing that may let him down is his fitness. Jiri is very young and may lack stamina to close up a three-set match.
Let us remind you that it’s up to you to make a final decision. Our team doesn’t take any responsibility for the probable outcome. If you want to get more confidence – subscribe to our paid tips. Best of luck!
